Oh my, I love Slorn but this was hard. XD I haven’t read Spirit War or Spirit’s End yet, so no idea if I’m missing information about them.
"I keep having the same dream, Slorn," Nivel whispered quietly, her fingers pressed to her temples, "Like someone is calling me, over and over again from the mountains." Slorn reached over the bed to press his strong fingers gently into Nivel’s shoulders, his large frame casting a shadow over hers and said gently, "I’m sure its just nerves - the baby is due any day now; this time…it’ll be okay, I promise." Nivel took a deep breath, nodded, and straightened her back, the swell of her stomach pushing the blankets away as Slorn, his deep eyes crinkling in pride and happiness, smiled at her. Four days later, Nivel gave birth to a healthy girl; the day after, she vanished.
